Q. What is the recommended number of guests for a birthday party?
A. At Sugar & Spice we have learned that an 8 to 9 girl party (your princess being the 9th child) works best
for a wide variety of ages. This allows the birthday girl to invite quite a few of her friends but also allow her
to not feel overwhelmed.
Q. What is the recommended age for birthday girls?
A. At Sugar & Spice we found that 3 – 4 is about the youngest age that can truly enjoy all the aspects of the
parties that Sugar & Spice offers. However, that being said, we have very mature 3 year olds who just
LOVE it and we also have done parties for girls through about 14 that still enjoy being a star. Of course, if
you are not sure if your daughter would enjoy a party at Sugar & Spice, we invite you to give a call at

specific needs and situation.
Q. What is the length of a birthday party?
A. The Sugar & Spice staff will arrive approx. 15 minutes prior to party time to set up. Makeovers, fashion
show and photo shoot typically take between 30-45 minutes, depending on number of guests. Once these
have been finished the Sugar & Spice staff will quietly pack up their supplies. Want to visit with the other
parents or just sit back and enjoy the party? A hostess can stay and coordinate the rest of the party (ie:
cake and presents and clean up) for a nominal fee.
Q. What time should I expect the Sugar & Spice staff at my venue?
A. Depending on the details of the personalized package that the Sugar & Spice team is putting together for
you and the venue it is being held at, staff should arrive approximately 15 minutes before the party is set
to begin. This allows us to finish up the details of getting your party ready and make sure everything is
perfect before your guests walk in the door!
Q. What is the deposit/cost of booking a birthday party?
A. A non-refundable $50.00 deposit is taken prior to the date of the party to reserve the time and date. The
deposit is then subtracted from the overall party balance, which is due, in full 72 hours prior to the party.
Once a party is paid in full, it is no longer refundable because we schedule our staff to make sure your
party is the best is can be by being fully staffed.
Q. How far in advance should I book my daughters party or special date?
A. While there is no minimum advanced booking rule, we do suggest in order to reserve the time and date
that you want, you should book your party with your deposit as soon as you know the day and time you
would like. We know times are busy and schedules are complex, the sooner you can get the date and
time on everyone’s calendar, the better turn out you will have. This will help to make your special girls
party the best it can be!
Q. What does the cost of a birthday party include and what takes place?
A. The cost of a party varies and can be found on the pricing page of our web site. All packages include a
makeover for each child (hair up-do and accessory, glitter nails, shimmer eyes, and wand), use of the
costumes, and a fashion show where the paparazzi come out captures the moments. Additional items are
available to round out your complete party package. They include: cake, take home costumes, goodie

Q. Does Sugar & Spice provide decorations? How about cake?
A. The best thing to do is to see how we can customize your Sugar & Spice experience by looking at our
pricing page. Here you will find all the items we can provide to make sure your event is truly unique, and
stress-free!
Q. What is the cancellation policy?
A. A confirmation call is placed 72 hours before a scheduled event. At this time the number of attendees for
an event will be confirmed and recorded on the contract. The number confirmed at this time will be the
number of guest charged for.
Q. Does cake or tableware need to be supplied?
A. Sugar & Spice is happy to provide both a cake and tableware at an additional cost.
Q. If a party guest does not show up, does the cost change?
A. When confirmation calls are placed the number of guests will be confirmed and added to your contract.
This is the number in which you will be charged. We suggest purchasing Sugar & Spice
invitations and thank you cards to help stir up interest in the party and also help in the confirmation of a
final number by using RSVPs.
Q. What is the Spa Creation Station? Or Sugar Scrub? Or Shimmer Lotion?
A. The Spa Creation is a “Create-your-own” Sugar Scrub and/ or Lotion Station. Guests are able to combine
glitter and a blend of fruity scented lotions and ice cream scented scrubs to create their own concoction
to take home. These creations are not edible but are fun to enjoy in or after the bathtub. The cost of the
Spa Creation is $8.00 per guest.
Q. What if my child has skin or food allergies?
A. If your child has any allergies, we ask that you share this with us in advance so we will have time to look
into what parts of the makeover we need to alter in order for your child to not feel excluded. If your child
has food allergies we have found that a special cake or cupcakes made by you may be the best! In
additional, each spa creation is labeled with the included ingredients for your review before using.
Q. As a parent of the birthday girl, what do I need to provide?
A. Sugar & Spice is able to provide everything needed to give your princess, pop star or fairy a great birthday.
However, we do suggest charging your camera and/or video camera, as it truly is a celebration to
remember.
Q. Do the parents have to stay during the birthday party?
A. While the parents of the attendees are not required to stay, the parents of the birthday girl are required to
stay for safety purposes. We also encourage host parents to get the phone numbers of each parent not
staying in case an emergency arises.
